| June Social Event: Swing Dancing in Balboa
Park June 25 (Wednesday) 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm with drinks to follow Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Balboa Park Join Rotaracters in swing dancing in Balboa Park at Twilight in the Park. This free concert series is hosted at the majestic Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. Rey Vinole, a big band swing group, will be playing music for all to enjoy. We will meet at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion towards the back of the seats. To cool off after the dance party, we will have drinks at the Prado Restaurant in Balboa Park. You can find a place to park in the Inspiration Point parking lot (on the east side of Park Boulevard, between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) for easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. | Rotaract & Rotary Trivia Who was Paul Harris? Paul Harris was the founder and organizer of the first Rotary Club in Chicago in 1905. However, one of the other founding members, Silvester Schiele, became the president this first Rotary club. The 16 Rotary clubs that existed in 1910 linked up as an organization which by 1922 was to become known as Rotary International. Paul Harris became the first president of this organization from 1910 until 1912. |
