2008-2009 Rotaract Elections Are you looking for an opportunity to explore your leadership qualities? The time has come to create the new 2008-2009 Rotaract Board! Information about each position will be presented at the April 15th meeting. Start thinking about where you will fit in on the 2008-2009 board. There will be nominations and voting for the four (4) elected positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Nominations for these positions will be presented at our meeting on May 6 and elections will take place at the following meeting on May 20. Once these four are elected they will build the rest of their supporting board. Current board members will then mentor each new board in advance to create a smooth transition. You are welcome to approach the person who is currently in whatever Board position(s) you're interested. We appreciate your interest and excitement. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask Aaron or any member of our current or past boards.

April Dues Are Due! It is that time of year again... Current Rotaract members, the semi-annual dues are $30. Membership dues help cover administrative costs as well as subsidize the many community service and social events Rotaract supports throughout the year. These events include the Rancho Jireh Picnic, the ice cream social and bingo at the senior center, as well as many more. For new members, once you have completed your membership requirements, there is a one time initiation fee of $28. This fee goes towards a snazzy Rotaract t-shirt, pin, and certificate. In addition, new members will also need to pay the $30 for semi-annual dues. The total amount for a new member is $58. You can pay your dues by attending a general meeting and giving a check or cash to the Treasurer, Steve Goodall. You can also pay with your credit card or bank account through PayPal.

Rotaract & Rotary Trivia What policies does a Rotaract club need to follow? The Rotaract Statement of Policy and Standard Rotaract Constitution and By-laws, created by the RI Board of Directors, include details on membership, club leadership and organization, fees and dues, and Rotaract activities at the district, multidistrict, and international levels. These guidelines have been adopted to give all Rotaract clubs a uniform structure. It is the responsibility of the Rotaract and sponsoring Rotary club to ensure that the policies are met. Beyond the RI policies, each Rotaract club is self-governing and self-supporting, working with the sponsoring Rotary club as needed.
