| Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes 2007: Looking for Donations and Raffle
Prizes December 01 (Saturday) 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm MINUS 1 Lounge, Keating Hotel, 432 F Street Ticket prices: $25 in advance, $35 the week of the event
Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes is closer than you think! We have pinned down the following details to make this event the best this club has ever produced: Jazz for JDRF, December 1st, 2007, 6-9 PM, The MINUS 1 Lounge at the Keating Hotel, 432 F Street, Live Jazz Music Featuring the Elliott Lawrence Trio.Tickets will be sale at meetings but also through the website via PayPal. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 the week of the event. Our Beneficiary: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump. Insulin, however, is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation. We need everyone's support to make this event run without a hitch. Anyone who would like to help with donations for our raffle and silent auction are encouraged to do so. Please contact Renata Kilby for donation information. If there are any general questions, please contact Amanda Scott, Fundraising Chair. We are looking forward to a great event in an exciting venue with great food, live music, and friends! |
