Father Joe 01
Father Joe 02

Father Joe's Villages is a homeless rehabilitation organization dedicated to addressing the immediate and ongoing needs of underprivileged children, families and individuals who, for various reasons, have found themselves without basic life necessities.
From a small center handing out peanut butter sandwiches 50 years ago (long before Father Joe arrived), Father Joe's Villages have grown to a family of seven large "villages" in the Southwest. And they are still growing. What began with a meal has evolved into a model program for serving the homeless.
Community Garage Sale To Benefit our Neighbor in Need

August 18 (Saturday)
7:00 am - 2:00 pm
3787 Centre Street (between University and Robinson just West of Park Avenue)

Don't miss the first community service event of the new year! Rotaract is going to be holding a garage sale to raise money for Dean's Neighor Tony, who back in April suffered a spinal cord injury. Now being out of the hospital he needs money to help with physical and occupational therapy.

Drop off items to sell in the driveway of 3787 Centre Street (in between University & Robinson just West of Park Avenue). Donations are tax deductible. Rotary Club: ID# 33-0596091.

Come by Saturday August 18th between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm. Pick up some great treasures. Breakfast food & drink will be for sale. Enter the raffle to get merchandise from local businesses. Afterwards we'll have a BBQ for Rotaractors and friends.

All proceeds go to help Tony!

If you have any questions, please email our Community Service Chair Dean.

Cade will be trying to arrange some activites for them during their stay, so please contact her with any ideas.

Lastly, our Breakfast Rotarians are welcoming a Rotary Foundation Scholar to San Diego for an entire year. His name is Dr. Daniel Figueiredo and he arrived in the city last week. He will be working at Children’s Hospital during his stay.
