5th Annual Jazz for Juvenile
Diabetes Event Information December 01 (Friday) 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Karma Lounge @ On Broadway, 615 Broadway (Downstairs) (Purchase of event ticket gains all night access to the entire club.) A Benefit for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation San Diego. On December 1st, 2006, the Rotaract Club of Downtown San Diego will hold its Fifth Annual Jazz For Juvenile Diabetes event in Downtown San Diego. Jazz For Juvenile Diabetes 2006 is a jazz concert (and great party) featuring a live performance by San Diego favorite David Patrone. This year the event moves to a larger stage than ever before at the Karma Lounge, downstairs at On Broadway Events Center. Eat, drink and dance to some great music and all for a worthy cause! Each year, Jazz For Juvenile Diabetes benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation San Diego. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The San Diego Chapter of JDRF serves all of San Diego County and extends north to Orange County. The Chapter provides valuable information about juvenile diabetes to people with diabetes, their families, and the general public, as well as raising much-needed funds for diabetes research. Take part and help raise funds for this great organization by purchasing your tickets today. Entrance tickets are $30 per person for Rotaract members, and $35 for non-members if purchased in advance. All tickets purchased at the door are $40, so make sure to buy yours early. After 10:00 pm, your event ticket is good for the access to all areas of On Broadway for the rest of the night. Raffle tickets are $5 (5 for $20). Both can be purchased online through PayPal using your major credit card or bank account. Tickets will be held for you at the door, so you don't need to worry about shipping. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event, but there is a possibility that it will sell out. To purchase tickets, please click here. See photos from our 2005 Jazz For Juvenile Diabetes event by clicking here! Please help the cause by sharing this information with friends, family and co-workers and encouraging them to tell their friends. Thanks again for your support! We're looking forward to celebrating with you for a great cause on December 1st! We Need Your Help! Our annual Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes event is only four weeks away! Online ticket sales should be starting right about now, and we expect to have flyers and paper tickets ready to distribute at our meeting. The raffle is always a strong part of the event and fundraising efforts, and so it's imperative that we have your support to make it successful again this year. Please consider who you know, what connections you may have to possible donors, and turn this into an opportunity! Contact Dean Koci with the names of whom you are going to contact. Any efforts are appreciated no prize is too small! We want to make this the biggest Jazz ever, so buy your tickets early, and encourage friends, family, co-workers (and even strangers) to come to this year's event. It's not too late to help out, especially obtaining raffle prizes, donations, sponsorships, etc. Contact Andy Gerber (858-248-7010) if you are interested. |

| Rotaract & Rotary Trivia What is Rotary Youth Exchange? The most powerful force in the promotion of international understanding and peace is exposure to different cultures. The world becomes a smaller, friendlier place when we learn that all people regardless of nationality desire the same basic things: a safe, comfortable environment that allows for a rich and satisfying life for our children and ourselves. Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people with the opportunity to meet people from other lands and to experience their cultures. This plants the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding. |
