Next Meeting

Our next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at 6:30 pm at Kansas City BBQ, 610 W. Market Street, Downtown San Diego.

Please note: There will be no meeting today, October 31st! We are only meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

We're looking forward to seeing you in November!

Happy Halloween!
Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes Only Five Weeks Away

December 01 (Friday)
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Karma Lounge @ On Broadway, 615 Broadway, Downtown San Diego
(Purchase of event ticket gains all night access to the entire club.)

Our annual Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes event is only five weeks away! Online ticket sales should be starting in the next couple of days, and we expect to have flyers and paper tickets ready to distribute at our next regular meeting.

The raffle is always a strong part of the event and fundraising efforts, and so it's imperative that we have your support to make it successful again this year. Please consider who you know, what connections you may have to possible donors, and turn this into an opportunity! Contact Dean Koci with the names of whom you are going to contact. Any efforts are appreciated – no prize is too small!

We want to make this the biggest Jazz ever, so buy your tickets early, and encourage friends, family, co-workers (and even strangers) to come to this year's event. Prices for advance purchase tickets will be $30 for members and $35 for non-members. All door tickets will be $40.

It's not too late to help out, especially obtaining raffle prizes, donations, sponsorships, etc. Contact Andy Gerber (858-248-7010) if you are interested.

Annual Thanksgiving Potluck at the Toussaint Academy

November 15 (Wednesday)
Time TBA (evening)
Toussaint Academy, corner of 5th Avenue and Ash Street, Downtown

If you missed our community service event in October, you're in luck because you get another chance to meet the amazing kids at the Toussaint Academy!!! Or if you did attend the Life Skills Scavenger Hunt, you'll get to see some familiar faces at our next community service event.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Potluck at the Toussaint Academy is scheduled for Wednesday evening, November 15th. We'll each bring a favorite Thanksgiving dish and all share a nice meal together.

The Toussaint Academy, located downtown at the corner of 5th Avenue and Ash Street, is a group home that serves homeless youth in San Diego.

For further details or if you have questions, please e-mail Cade or call her at 858-705-1575.
Welcome to Our New Member!

Rotaract is a great way to network, make friends, and help the community. Joining Rotaract is fun and easy. To become an official member you have to...
     – attend three general Rotaract meetings,

     – attend one social event,
     – attend one meeting of our sponsoring Rotary Club,
     – pay a one-time $28 enrollment fee, and membership dues of $30 twice a year.
