Hurricane Katrina Disaster Response: Volunteers Needed at Family Assistance Center! Dear Rotaract friends, Starting on Monday, September 12th, volunteers are needed to help staff the Family Assistance Center that has been set up to serve Hurricane Katrina evacuees. At the center, evacuees will be able to register with FEMA, be assigned a case worker, and get connected to any other services they may need. Volunteers will help direct people around the center and generally help out as needed. Please be prepared to be flexible and patient. Volunteer shifts are available from this Monday, September 12 - Sunday, September 25 for the following times: 7:30 am - 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm. You must sign up for a shift in order to volunteer. Please sign up for the shift(s) through the Volunteer San Diego web site. The Rotaract Club of Downtown San Diego
