| International Award Party @ The Bitter End June 09 (Thursday) 7:00 - 9:00 pm The Bitter End Upstairs Lounge (770 Fifth Avenue) Come celebrate with the Downtown Rotaract. On Thursday, June 9, we will be toasting the Rotary International "Best Service Event" award that we are receiving at the RI Convention in Chicago in June. Please join us to celebrate this accomplishment. We worked together to win the award so lets all join in the fun together, too! The Bitter End is located on the corner of F Street and Fifth Avenue. Parking is available at Horton Plaza (3 hours free with validation). Dress Code for The Bitter End: no tennis shoes, t-shirts, shorts, sandals, or baseball caps. |

| Get Creative! It's Rotaract Scrapbook
Time. June 12 (Sunday) Noon - ? Michelle Prescott's place: 749 Seabright Lane, Solana Beach Join us for a scrapbook / photo album day at Michelle Prescott's place in Solana Beach. She'll provide snacks, beverages, and scrapbook items. Feel free to bring your own tools, though, if you'd like. We'll have a table set up in her backyard, where we can soak up the sun and share fun ideas for the photo album. RSVP: Michelle at mprescott@mindgruve.com If you haven't read the previous announcement: Our Historian Michelle Prescott is in the process of compiling photos to include in the 2004-2005 Rotaract Club of Downtown San Diego scrapbook / photo album. We're trying to include photos taken from this Rotaract fiscal year only (Fall 2004-Spring 2005). If you have photos you would like to include in this book, please bring them to the next meeting on June 07 or to the scrapbook day on June 12!!! |

| Ace of Hearts Check Ceremony on June 21 June 21 (Tuesday) 6:30 pm Kansas City BBQ Melissa Delacalzada and Jennifer Wager from San Diego Hospice and Palliative Care will be at June 21st's meeting to receive the check from Rotaract. The Third Annual Ace of Hearts benefit - a great Monte Carlo night featuring a fun night of casino style gambling with craps, blackjack, roulette and more - was held at Sidebar on May 12, 2005 from 7pm 10pm. This years beneficiary was San Diego Hospice. San Diego Hospice & Palliative Care is a not-for-profit, independent health care organization providing expert pain management and compassionate care to adults, children and infants living with serious or life-limiting illness. Their amazing mission is to prevent and relieve suffering and promote quality of life, at every stage of life, through patient and family care, education, research and advocacy.
