Rotaract Gives 33% More to JDRF in 2004

Linda Riley, executive director for the San Diego Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, attended last week’s meeting and accepted a check for $2679.31. She told the group that Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes is one of the most creative fundraisers they are involved with and they are already looking forward to next year’s event!

Congrats to Evan Papel for running such a successful and fun event and thanks to all who helped us grow this year.
Member of the Month, December: Tanja Wrage

Tanja Wrage demonstrates everything that is good about Rotaract. She is completely committed to our club, she is incredibly talented, and she lives thousands of miles away and reminds us that the world is a friendly place!
For those who don’t know, Tanja was a board member for the Downtown Rotaract while living in San Diego and has since moved back to her native Germany. She continues to stay connected with us by being our Deputy Secretary and producing the newsletter each and every week.

Tanja has been voted Member of the Month for December as a show of appreciation for her work every month and most impressively, for her coordination of Jazz for Juvenile Diabetes promotions. We are working on finding an international Starbucks gift card so we can properly thank her for all that she does!!
San Diego Rotaract PR Contest

We are beginning a campaign for new PR ideas in 2005! Please contact Jomi with your most original idea for promoting Rotaract. The board will evaluate all submissions and will announce the best idea and implement your program!! Winner receives a prize...
