Next Meeting

Our next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 20th, 2004, at 6:30 pm at Kansas City BBQ, 610 W. Market Street, Downtown.

As the board has begun setting goals for the club for 2004-2005, we will explore our own personal objectives for this year in our own lives. Hope to see you there!
Community Service Events

Volunteer Event for July - ElderHelp

July 31st (Saturday)
The volunteer event for July will be on Saturday July 31st. In collaboration with ElderHelp of San Diego, Rotaract will aid two of our neighbors in North Park with minor house work.
We are still looking for volunteers. If you would like to sign up, please contact Carl.



Annual Rancho Jireh Picnic

August 22 (Sunday)
The annual Rancho Jireh picnic is set for Sunday, August 22. It will be held at Crown Point South.
Rancho Jireh Foster Homes is a non-profit Christian ministry serving the needs of abused and neglected children. The picnic will be a day of BBQ, games, and a whole lot of fun for new families and Rotaract.
We still need volunteers to help with the coordination, so contact Carl at 201-841-5042 or e-mail at ctiu2@yahoo.com.



Senior Center

2nd Saturday of each month
Volunteers (2-3) are needed the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm to help serve lunch at the Senior Center Downtown.

Happy Hour @ The W Hotel with AD2

July 22 (Thursday)
5:30 pm
Beach Bar at the W Hotel, 421 West B Street
Join the Rotaract Club of Downtown San Diego for Happy Hour with the San Diego AD2 club at the W Hotel's Roof Top Beach Bar on Thursday, July 22nd at 5:30 pm.
The AD2 club is comprised of a nationwide network of clubs whose members - young, fun professionals - are employed, or interested, in marketing, advertising or public relations. The San Diego Division serves the special needs of budding marketing professionals through educational and public service programs.
Everyone is welcome - hope to see you all there!
Downtown Breakfast Rotary Meeting

The Downtown San Diego Breakfast Rotary Club is meeting every Wednesday at 7:00 am at the Symphony Towers University Club, 750 B Street, Suite 3400.

    July 22nd (Thursday)
    The San Diego Police Foundation is extending an invitation to members of our club for an upcoming "Inside SDPD" event on Thursday, July 22nd. It's a fun, fast-paced opportunity to get an inside perspective on everything from traffic stops to use-of-force scenarios.
    The general invitation can be seen at SDPDInvite (http://www.sdpolicefoundation.org/sdpd_invite.pdf) and they are willing to waive the registration fee for Rotaract members.
